TeacHaiti Event

Past event
May 20, 2017, 4 to 6 PM

Are you interested in what is happening in Haiti 7 years after the major earthquake in 2010? Would you like for your children to understand what life is like for children in another part of the world and what they have in life? Would you like to try to do something meaningful to make a difference in the life of a child in a place where there are few resources?? Are you concerned about giving to an organization which actually DOES what it says it will do with your donation?

Please mark your calendars and join us on May 20th from 4-6 at the Richmond Library upstairs space. Miquette Denie McMahon, the founder of TeacHaiti, will be speaking about the work of the Non-profit organization and school which she founded.

She will talk about her own experiences as a child in Haiti, how TeacHaiti came about, the work that it does now, the children that TeacHaiti works to empower, and how one person can make a difference.

We will have child-friendly activities, a bake sale, and Miquette will share her story.
