If you're looking to expand your sewing knowledge with a pro sign up for our upcoming class!

The draping, or moulage technique, is a method of pattern making that involves arranging a plain woven fabric (usually cotton muslin) directly on a dress form. That test fabric, properly marked, cut, and pressed, then becomes your pattern. In this 6-hour class, we will create a pattern for a simple top while learning the key basics in design and execution.

Pre-requisite Experience; You must have basic machine sewing experience and be able to sew a regular straight seam (doesn't have to be garment sewing, can be quilting or other household sewing). You must know how to operate your sewing machine without help. No class time will be given to diagnosing and fixing sewing machine problems. Basic experience with working with commercial paper patterns is helpful, but not necessary.
