Are you experiencing challenges or a growing level of stress as you care for a loved one? “Managing Stress – A Workshop for Family Caregivers” can help you!
In this one-hour workshop we will look at the signs and causes of stress in the context of caregiving, and begin to explore strategies for reducing your stress while caring for others.
Central Vermont Council on Aging (CVCOA) is offering "Managing Stress – A Workshop for Family Caregivers" twice in May. On Thursday, May 18th from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m., the program will be presented at Gifford Health Care in Randolph. On Monday, May 22nd from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m., it will be presented at Mayo Residential Care in Northfield, VT. Both programs are free of charge and open to the public.
Managing Stress also serves as a sampler for Powerful Tools for Caregivers, a 6-session class that explores multiple strategies for self-care and practical problem-solving during the caregiving journey. Beginning June 1st, Powerful Tools for Caregivers will be offered at Gifford Health Care from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., co-sponsored by the Community Health Team at Gifford Health Care.
