Mohammed Sawalha - a Palestinian peacemaker, community builder, activist, and professor of linguistics - will speak on Saturday, May 20 at 7:00 p.m. at the Trinity Methodist Church in Montpelier. Mohammed is from Nablus, in the Occupied West Bank. He is a visionary and believes that the way to peace is to motivate youth and encourage non-violent leadership in the next generation of Palestinians. He founded the Palestinian House of Friendship (PHF), a community center in Nablus, to enrich the lives of youth. He will share stories about daily life in the West Bank and seeks to raise funds for this vital project. He will show photos of youth benefitting from PHF.
