Just a reminder that the 12th Annual Winooski Operation Bloom Plant and Seed Share is this coming Saturday, May 20th from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon at Richards Park in Winooski (corner of Lafountain and Dion Streets).
“The Share” is a free event where gardeners share some of their extra seeds, or seedlings from the plants they've started, or perennial thinnings from their gardens, with anyone who wants to beautify their landscaping, or feed their families fresh produce.
You don't need to bring any plants or seeds to share at this event; your generous neighbors just want to share the joy of gardening with anyone who is interested. Though not necessary, if you’d still like to contribute, donations of canned foods for the Winooski food shelf are always greatly appreciated, or monetary donations can be made to Winooski Operation Bloom.
If you are a gardener, please save your thinnings from your flower beds, and extra seedlings you may have started to bring to the Share. Labeling your donations with the name of the plant is a great help to folks, and is much appreciated.
