Dear Marlboro Residents,
The dark force of fascism is trying to put out the light of democracy. Let us continue to unite as a community to say "NO!".
You are invited to come out with your friends and neighbors and be photographed standing up for and celebrating democracy with the "We Celebrate Democracy/Civil Rights For All" 25' x 3' street banner on Sunday May 21st at 10 am at the Marlboro Post Office. It is easy to stand up to fascism here in Vermont so we should make the most of the opportunity to lead by example.
The banner is locally grown, locally funded by 80 small donations, and made in Starksboro, VT. Thank you to all of you for your continued support.
"Democracy " means "People Power". Democracy is civil rights. Democracy is all people equal before the law. People around the world cherish the promise of democracy. Democracy and civil rights say "I love you" to all people. The Southern Poverty Law Center says: Hold love up to hate. Celebrate civil rights.
You will receive a free postcard made from a photo of the event. And you may also get your smiling picture in the Reformer and the Commons.
This event is funded by small local donations. Please consider making a small donation.
By attending this event you agree to behave nonviolently in word and in deed.
