Come see what personalized learning can look like! CVU seniors Julia Kitonis and Caroline Pastore have produced and interpreted and directed Jason Robert Brown's incredible musical, Songs For A New World, as it has never been seen before. Their production is a theatrical collaboration of Deaf and hearing talent here in Vermont. The cast is diverse in age, experience, and places on the hearing spectrum. Their goal is to bring the vibrant Deaf community and the strong arts community of Vermont together. This project is a learning experience for all involved, people who don't speak each other's languages working together in a universal human language: art.
This show is not just representative of many groups, but accessible as well. It will be performed in both English and American Sign Language, with the outline of the show provided for added clarity and accessibility. We invite everyone to come and experience different culture and language through the empathy and humanity of live theater.
This show is generously sponsored by Dealer.com and performances are May 26th-28th at FlynnSpace. Tickets are available at FlynnTix.org and at the Flynn Center Box office.
