Join us for our next Young Adventurers Club family hike on Sunday, May 21 at 11am at Shelburne Pond for a walk along the 1-mile H. Laurence Achilles trail loop. https://www.trailfinder.info/trails/trail/shelburne-pond We'll check to see if the water snakes are out for the season, enjoy the scenic vistas along the rocky shore of the lake and search out the chair-shaped tree deep in the forest. Meet at the Fish and Wildlife fishing access parking lot.

YAC offers an opportunity for families and their youngest hikers (primarily ages 2-6, but all are welcome) to get out and explore at a comfortable, playful pace. Our goal is to encourage and promote children’s enthusiasm for playing in Vermont’s outdoor spaces, and trips focus on families getting out and having fun, rather than going fast or far. Outings generally last one to one-and-a-half hours, with time for a snack! (We love dogs, but please leave yours at home so that all may enjoy the hike.)
