The Federated Church (Main St. Castleton) will be hosting a special community service to recognize and honor our Veterans this Sunday, November 10, at 11 a.m. Everyone is invited to attend! The service will include an acappella arrangement of "The Star-Spangled Banner", special music provided by the Jr., Sr., and Handbell Choirs ("Someone special", "Thank You, Soldiers", and "Song for the Unsung Hero"), the singing of patriotic hymns, special recognition of the Veterans and their families in attendance, and the American Red Cross Executive Director of Vermont and New Hampshire Upper Valley Region will be presenting Marjorie Burditt Anderson with a Commemorative Pin, "Service to the Armed Forces: Our Legacy Continues", a Certificate of Appreciation, and a Certified Copy of the Congressional Record recognizing Marjorie for her contribution and sacrifice to serve our Armed Forces in France during World War II. A special reception will follow the service in the fellowship hall.
