Past event
May 31, 2017, 7 to 9:30 PM

Here’s an opportunity to learn about gun violence & domestic violence in VT and to learn about loopholes in the existing gun laws. On Wednesday, May 31, please come to a free movie, entitled,  “Making a Killing: Guns, Greed & the NRA,” which will be shown in the Community Room of the Stowe Free Library from 7-9:30pm.  A brief discussion will follow and be facilitated by Tom Kearney, Editor of the Stowe Reporter. Speakers will include Ann Braden, (President of GunsenseVT), Clai Lasher-Sommers, (a domestic violence survivor), and a gun owner.

Ann will update us on the legislative effort that GunsenseVT has been pursuing in the interest of reducing domestic violence. Clai will speak about the national effort taking place to restrict gun violence and the gun owner will present his views about the vetting of gun sales. The discussion will be facilitated by Tom Kearney, Editor of the Stowe Reporter.  Light refreshments will be served. All are welcome.

Free and open to the public. Donations gratefully accepted.
