Just a reminder - our postal carriers are picking up food donations this Saturday, May 13th as they do their rounds. As mentioned in an earlier posting, they are doing this on behalf of both the Shelburne and Charlotte Food Shelves. You just need to leave your donations out by 9 AM this coming Saturday and the carriers do the rest!
For this drive we have identified foods both Food Shelves often need:
- 100% juice packs
- Apple sauce packs
- Peaches packs
- Granola-type bars
- Cheese and crackers packets
- Peanut butter and crackers packets
- Canned tuna and chicken
- Pasta sauces
- Spaghetti and elbows (other types of pastas are less-sought-after)
- Rice products (in 1-2 lb. quantities)
- Grape and strawberry jellies
- Hash
- Ketchup, mayo and yellow mustard
- Salad dressings (ranch is a favorite)
We also much appreciate your attention to expiration dates!
