The Green Solutions Club of Johnson State College is co-hosting a Basics of Backyard Composting workshop this Thursday, May 11 at 6:00 pm. The workshop will be held in the 1867 Room of Dewey Hall. Directional signs will be posted from the main parking lot (near Bentley Hall) to Dewey.
Come learn from a Master Composter and the LRSWMD Organics Specialist. The workshop will cover:
- What the Universal Recycling & Composting law requires
- Basics of how composting happens
- Discover a compost system that can work for your backyard
- What and what not to compost in your backyard
- How to troubleshoot your current compost pile
