Saturday May 13th, Atkins FIeld, Hardwick, Noon to 4pm - FREE
Upcoming community event at Atkins Field in Hardwick will explore today’s life-or-death challenges facing bees, butterflies, and bats. This event features numerous hands-on family activities and workshops, as well as educational forums about what is happening to our precious pollinators. Discussion groups will focus on conservation efforts, as well as current legislative initiatives to control the use of deadly neonicotinoid pesticides, featuring keynote speaker, Lt. Governor David Zuckerman. The organizers of “Pollinator Fest” hope this event will build momentum for the statewide - and worldwide - cause to protect the pollinators.
