We all need more collective joy in our lives, and while often, religious services don’t seem very joyous, Kabbalat Shabbat was created by the mystics of Safed to bring in the Sabbath with singing, dancing and joy.
If we come together, let our ‘spiritual hair down’ and really sing, then we can create moments of what Durkheim called ‘collective effervescence.’
Join us at Havurah House (56 N. Pleasant St.) for a short, Kabbalat Shabbat service on Friday, May 12 at 7pm, and start your weekend off on a high note!
