Researching 1812 Ancestors in Government Records

The key to understanding your ancestors’ involvement in the War of 1812, is locating the appropriate historical records. On Saturday, November 9th, you will learn how find unusual federal publications in specialized library collections and primary documents at the National Archives and online. Join us and enhance both your research skills and your understanding of the War of 1812. Connie Reik has been a research and instruction librarian of history for more than 20 years. She has been working on her family history since college when she took a mini-course in genealogy. Classes are held at the Vermont Genealogy Library located on Hegeman Ave, Fort Ethan Allen, Colchester, across from the State Police Building. Classes are from 10:30 to noon and are $5.00.
