East Montpelier School Board invites you to join us for a second Public Forum for Act 46.
We need your input and your ideas!
MONDAY MAY 15TH FROM 6:30-8PM IN THE AUDITORIUM

As required by law, we are now in the process of assessing our current ability to meet or exceed each of the goals set forth by Act 46. We are required to submit a Report by Nov 30, 2017. Before we do that we want to make sure we have a broad community outreach, and so we are holding our second public forum.
The East Montpelier School Board adopted a resolution in favor of writing articles of agreement that support a consolidated district model. At the upcoming forum we will have a brief presentation of basic information about the remaining Act 46 issues and the timeline involved. We will talk about governance models, Local School Councils and the debt.
The forum’s purpose is to review and provide this information to the community and to raise these questions. Most importantly, the purpose is to allow for discussion and input regarding the available options for resolving governance and the debt.
