Hello all! Auditions for our summer show are THIS SATURDAY in the MMU auditorium. We ask all those auditions to be between the ages of 12-25. All details are below (please read all of it and feel free to share everywhere and with anyone who might be interested). Hope to see you on Saturday!
Inconceivable Theatre Company, based in eastern Chittinden County, is producing "A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Forum" for this summer!
Tech week is August 7-10
Performances are August 11th and 12th at the Main St. Landing Black Box Theatre in Burlington
We rehearse throughout the summer, about 3-4 days a week, at the Richmond Free Library (you won't be called to each rehearsal).
Auditioners must be between 12-25, and only those 16+ will be considered to play courtesans due to the slightly more mature content of this show.
Auditions are in the auditorium of Mount Mansfield Union High School
Audition Requirements specifically:
- At the bottom of this description is a link to a Google folder that contains all of the paperwork, audition monologues, music, and dance choreography that you'll need. It's essential that you come prepared for your audition.
- The two forms (Audition form and the Contract), which can be found in the Google folder.
- Prepare 2 monologues from the provided list and be ready to read any part of the scenes from the same sheet.
- 1 assigned song (sheet music provided in the folder, JUST THE FIRST VERSE)
- 1 section of a song of choice (show-tune or similar)
- There will be a video within the folder as well that will show you the audition choreography. Because we are not having workshops, please learn this as best you can from the video and we will work it a little before actually starting auditions if you like.
- IF YOU CANNOT MAKE IT TO AUDITIONS (I understand it's right in the middle of AP testing and college finals), please make an audition video and send it in BY May 13th, along with the required paperwork. The video can be emailed to sofiecarfaro@gmail.com and should contain all the requirements listed above.
