The Lewis Creek Covered Bridges 5k/10k & Half Marathon is this Saturday, May 13 @ Charlotte Central School at 8am. This is a very scenic and challenging course. Online registration closes Tuesday, May 9 at midnight. Race Day Registration is available for an additional $10. Register at www.racevermont.com. The following are course details.
-5K- Out and back on the Charlotte/Hinesburg Rd then Guinea Rd and back to CCS.
-10K- Out and back on the Charlotte/Hinesburg Rd then Guinea Rd, Bingham Brook Rd and
back to CCS.
-Half Marathon- A loop course starting at Charlotte/Hinesburg Rd then Guinea Rd, Bingham
Brook Rd, Spear St, Prindle Rd, Lewis Creek Rd, Spear St, back on Guinea Rd to CCS.
Note that the Charlotte/Hinesburg Rd is partially closed for 10 minutes, 7:55-8:05. One lane open.
Three Shelburne Police will be stationed at major intersections: Philo Rd/Charlotte-Hinesburg, Spear St/Prindle Rd, Lewis Creek/Spear St, Spear St/Guinea.
Three volunteers needed as course marshals 7:30-10:30.
