Join us for our third annual astronomy night! This event is free and open to the public where the audience will hear a presentation titled, "From the Big Bang to Biology ; the Astronomy story of Life," given by national renown astronomer, Dr. John, O'Meara.
Below is some basic info on the event
On Thursday, May 11th, there will be the third annual star gazing event at CHS. This event is hosted by and put on by Dr. John O'Meara from St. Michael's College. Dr. O'Meara is a nationally recognized astronomer whose work with light and Quasars was voted as one of the top ten scientific discoveries of 2011 by Science Magazine. The event for the last two years was well attended and well received. The event will start at 7:30 pm in the school auditorium with a star talk and question period, and then conclude on the athletic fields (weather permitting) with a star gazing event using telescopes that Dr. O'Meara will bring in. This free event is open to the public, so bring your friends and family and enjoy an evening with the cosmos.
