There's a variety of topics on the agenda for this month's Ward 1, Ward 8 NPA Meeting, this Wednesday, May 10th, in the McClure Lobby Conference Room at the UVM Medical Center. Free parking is available in the McClure Garage, courtesy of UVM MC. We're looking forward to neighborly "engagement" on these subjects:

7.00 p.m.: Welcome and Introductions
7.05: Ward 1 Steering Committee
7.10: City Council Updates: Sharon Bushor, Adam Roof, Richard Deane
7.30: Speak Out
7.40: Kyle Bostwick of the Vermont Lake Monsters will be throwing out the first pitch as we look forward to the 2017 Lake Monsters season. Centennial neighbors especially encouraged to join us for that.
8.00: James Lockridge of Big Heavy World will be updating us with discussion about the pending public RFP for Memorial Auditorium/Gateway Block, hoping to gain general support for sustaining 242 Main. Please note that there will be further discussion about the future of the "Aud" at our June 14th Meeting.
8.20: City DPW Director Chapin Spencer will present highlights from the department's Capital Plan, and update us with road paving and sidewalk maintenance plans for the season. He's also been asked to respond to requests for traffic calming initiatives for East Ave, the latest on a DPW idea to introduce a further crosswalk on Colchester Ave (between MF Drive and East Ave), and offer an update on progress on the Sidewalk Management Plan.
