Farm Tour! Tree Crops, 'Urban Homestead', Apothecary

Past event
May 7, 2017, 11 AM to 2 PM

Join us for a two-part tour this Sunday, May 7 at Willow Crossing Farm in Johnson and our 'Urban Homestead' and Apothecary downtown Jeffersonville.

We'll start at 11 am in the yurt at Willow Crossing with a brief history of the farm and then go out and about to look at plums, apples, cherries, pears, dozens of species of nuts, windbreadk and hedgerow species, multi-grafts, nitrogen fixers, pollinator supporters, and other interesting, unique and promising plants for the future of regenerative agriculutre. We'll also briefly explore debt-free/ budgetless natural building and farm development.

Then, we'll head down the street for a brief tour of our 'urban homestead' downtown Jeffersonville, where we'll look at sweet cherries, peaches, dwarf apples, kiwis, currants, honeyberries (haskaps), a 'renter's permaculture micronursery', in-town chickens; and tour, taste, and smell the fully-stocked apothecary of Willow Crossing Healing Arts and Botanicals.

Join us for either or both! Tours will start at 11 and 1, so please plan to arrive a little early.
Ih you are on Facebook- that is the best way to RSVP and ask any questions, or arrange a car-pool.
