Yes I know voting can be a pain, but it can be so painless that it sometimes actually hurts. I was at a meeting last week when a long time serving member of the community said I don't think people know we have issues that we are voting on. I am passionate about Barre Town and want to support it's success and reason to be here. I think the Select board has done a reasonable job of presenting a budget. I happen to disagree about how they have dealt with the library. I respect that and we disagree. Having said that, you have a number of citizens in this town who serve for little or no compensation to make sure we continue to have a great community. Don't forget to vote. It is important for you and your/our kids. Yes they are our kids and we have a responsibility to make sure that they succeed like the town has. Get out and vote.
