Hi Willistonians,
There is a special Selectboard meeting on stormwater meeting being held on the 9th of May, next Tuesday, at 7pm in the town hall meeting room.
The agenda includes:
7:10 3 . Public Comment – General Issues
7:20 4 . Residential Expired Permit Policy
Receive a presentation and consider revising existing policy
8:20 5 . Stormwater Loan Policy
Review and consider adopting proposed policy
8:50 6 . Neighborhood Stormwater Grant Policy
Review and consider adopting proposed policy

While many of us have seen the proposed stormwater loan policy and grant policies, the information being presented for the expired permit policy is being prepared by a consultant hired by the town manager, and has not been available or reviewed by the Selectboard. But the information being presented is intended to be a financial comparison of various options that have been proposed to the Selectboard to review and put out for public comment, some options are below:
1) the town taking financial responsibility for public roads area costs in expired systems
2) The town taking over maintenance of non-expired system permits (as opposed to just taking over maintenance of upgraded expired permit systems.
3) The town taking over all residential systems maintenance and upgrades
4) A policy similar to south Burlingtons stormwater management policy, where the town takes responsibility for it's roads in any system upgrades, and takes over maintenance of any residential system up to the 2002 standard for a period of 20 years.
