Family Rhythms: Gathering for Growing Families

Past event
May 7, 2017, 10:30 AM to 12 PM

Family Rhythms was born to fulfill the need for support for Vermont families. Gatherings are hosted by three doulas--two of us mothers--who share a passion of building a sense of community and connection with families as they grow. We invite families from all backgrounds to come together and share this space.
We strive to meet families where they are in life and create a safe space to share and explore with other parents. These free gatherings offer open conversation allowing us to cover a wide range of topics. We will learn and grow together.

Topics of discussion may include:

Transitions into parenthood/adjusting to life with a new addition
Sleep, yourself and your newborn
Pregnancy
Birth at home and in the hospital
Adoption
IVF
Surrogacy
Postpartum, the two week lie in through the third month
The baby blues, postpartum depression, anxiety, and other mental health issues
Pelvic floor health
Self-care, stress management, balancing yourself
Nutrition
Baby wearing
Cloth Diapering
Breastfeeding, pumping, feeding alternatives
Helping your older children adjust to their new sibling
