Past event
May 18, 2017, 6:30 to 8:30 PM

The Art House presents the next film in the “Let’s Talk” monthly film series: “The Local Motive” beginning at 6:30pm Thursday, May 18th in the Heartbeet Lifesharing Event Center.

Each month this documentary film series focuses on different socially relevant themes and is shown in collaboration with organizations such as: Sterling College, AWARE, Heartbeet Lifesharing & The Craftsbury Outdoor Center. Films are presented in partnership with Vermont PBS. Facilitated roundtable conversations and refreshments will follow the film screening.

About the film: “Our vast, globalized industrial food system has provided for a more diversified diet and a great deal of cheap food. Lost, however, is the connection between consumers and the people who produce their food. This program explores six aspects of Vermont’s local food system.” For this event we will be focusing on the Consumer, the Production and the Food Waste episodes of the program.

The film is open to the public, complimentary popcorn will be provided to complete the movie going experience.
