The Rotary Club of Chester welcomes the Pennies For Playground Committee as the speaker for our First Thursday meeting on Thursday May 4tth. Social networking begins at 5:15 at the Fullerton Inn and the program will run from 5:30 to 6:30pm. The program is free and we invite the public to join us to learn about the plans for a new playground at Chester Andover Elementary School.

The Pennies For Playground Committee will address why the playground needs to be renewed after almost 25 years, what has been done so far, where the design team is at, where the fundraising stands, and the path forward. As we heard at town meeting, parts of the existing playground will be incorporated into the new design. The playground serves the public as well as children at the elementary school and is also used for training by the Fire Department. This is a great opportunity to learn more and get your questions answered as well as to give the committee feedback on their work to date. The playground is an important community resource in Chester.
