On Friday, May 5 from 5:30-8:00 p.m. during the May Gallery Walk in downtown Brattleboro, Strolling of the Heifers & Pete and Gerry’s Organic Eggs will host a Cinco de Mayo EGGS-travaganza at the River Garden, 157 Main Street.
May is National Egg Month and May 5th is Cinco de Mayo, the Strolling of the Heifers staff decided to combine the two with an unusual event – the Cinco de Mayo Eggs-travaganza!”
This free event will feature eggs-traordinary samples from local chefs made with Pete & Gerry’s Organic eggs, live music, drinks, and lots of egg-citing kids activities.
Listen to live music from The Moondogs while sampling dishes from Amy’s Bakery Cafe, Commonwealth Dairy, Entera Catering, Four Columns, Grafton Village Cheese, New Leaf CSA, Superfresh Cafe, The Marina, The Porch, The Restless Rooster, The Works, Salsa Sisters and True North Granola. Whetstone Station will be serving drinks, and Pete and Gerry’s Organic Eggs will bring their Egg Exhibit, and a mess-free egg toss for kids.
The EGGS-travaganza will celebrate the Strolling of the Heifers’ Farm to Plate Apprenticeship Program, providing culinary and nutrition skills to underemployed people. Many of the participating restaurants employ graduates of the program, which is in its’ third year.
This egg-ceptional event is FREE and everyone is welcome!
