Green Up Day in Panton!

Past event
May 6, 2017

One final reminder that Green Up Day is this coming Saturday, to Panton and to the rest of the towns in Vermont. We would love to see you out on that day, but you can certainly take part any time through that date! Did you know that Vermont is the only state that in the nation to conduct such a community-oriented, one-day, statewide event. That effort has a tremendous impact on not only our roadsides and public and natural spaces, but engages all of us, furthering the values of civic responsibility, community pride, stewardship and working together for a common purpose.

A couple of further notes for Panton Green Up...We are trying to gather some statistics on how many volunteers we have and where they pick up. I have left a sign up sheet for volunteers who come to the Town Office to obtain bags. The bags and clipboard are in the alcove at the front of the building. Please, if you come for bags and have not yet contacted me regarding your volunteering, sign the clipboard or email me or call 759-2529. This will be very much appreciated.

Also we really need individuals to go above and beyond and volunteer at the fishing accesses on Slang (especially foul) and Panton Road, so please let me know if you can help. Many hands make light work....

For the east side of town, I have bags and will be glad to deliver any to you.

Many thanks to everyone who is taking part in this!
