The Public is invited to attend the May Artist In Residence Reception on May 4th from 4:30 to 7:00pm.  This is a chance to meet the artists, share food and drink and appreciate local art at the AIR Gallery at 10 South Main Street, St Albans. Each of the featured artists will give a ten minute presentation about their inspiration, technique and passion for their medium. The featured artists, in their own words:

Holly Spier, Jeweler:  "The influences and my sheer love of nature are the reasons I make jewelry.  I keep my settings clean and sleek.  the stones are what i showcase. Their individual beauty stand on it's own and should be the focus of the piece.  I simply construct a way you can wear a fabulous creation of nature on your body."

John Selmer, Photographer:  "As a photographer I try to capture a scene in a way that conveys a sense of "being there for the first time".  I use a computer and my imagination to create a picture that i hope will catch your eye and keep you looking and thinking, and maybe daydreaming."

El Towle, Painter: "The best way to describe my work is eclectic , in both subject matter and mediums. Being an art teacher for forty years ( now retired) provided an opportunity for me, along with my students, to explore seemingly endless modes of expression both in subject matter and mediums.
