WHAT’S NEW AND NOT SO NEW IN HR REQUIREMENTS FOR 2017?
Morrisville – “Any business’s most important asset is its employees” 2017 is almost half over and there are a myriad of new employment laws to worry about and more to come. What does that mean for employers? You need to know about the overtime ruling, new forms, new regulations, new mandatory benefits and more. Do you have everything you need and know everything you need to know? Are you confident that you have the most recent I-9 form? Confident you comply with Vermont’s new Sick Leave Law? Do your employees need to complete a VT Declaration of Health Care Coverage? Are your Labor Law Posters current and posted in the appropriate locations(s)? Do you have medical and personnel files? Make the time to get answers to these and other important HR questions. Attend this workshop and fill your HR toolbox with practical solutions and available resources – many of which are FREE!
The workshop presenter is Teresa Miele who has 20+ years of HR experience with her most recent position at Rutland Plywood Corporation. When the company was destroyed by a catastrophic fire it required her to use all of her knowledge and abilities to support employees through the loss of both the company and their jobs. Miele started her own HR consulting company, HR Acquired, LLC and she now supports multiple businesses in a variety of industry sectors.
The workshop will take place on May 17th from 9 am to noon in the Community Center at Green Mountain Technology and Career Center in Hyde Park. The cost to attend is $49 and pre-registration is required.
