Giant Yard Sale!
Sunday May 13 (rain or shine...pray for sun! But if it rains we'll still be out there, unless it's a deluge)

We're doing a major spring clear out and we have a LOT that has to go! Not only are we doing a radical house clean out, we just emptied 2 huge storage spaces. So there is a LOT here, and some really nice stuff. I'm a bit of a collector (not a hoarder, a collector! ha ha), but it's time to let some of it go and make some breathing room in our home. We'll only be doing this for one day, so I'm putting it all out there. Come and get it!

Please please please please no early birds. I am not a morning person, so believe me, you don't want to show up before 10. I will be veeeeerrry cranky...

Here is a sampling of some of the items, though there will be MUCH much more than this (I've only just begun to sort through it all):

Vintage wall barometer c. 1930--inlaid wood. Really lovely.
Waldorf Kinderkram wooden children's kitchen
Waldorf wooden dollhouse (manufacturer unknown)
Breyer barn
Breyer truck
Tons of Breyer (and other collectible) horses (most not in box, but almost all in VG condition--were displayed on a shelf, not played with--pick and choose or make me an offer on the lot)
Misc other Waldorf items (not sure what yet, but I used to run a Waldorf school, so there should be some nice things)
Harry Potter collectibles
American girl-sized doll clothes, many brand new in package
Muffy Vanderbear items & collectables (bears, clothes, trunks)
2 desks
Very solid unfinished oak filing cabinet (beautiful...was $300+ when new a few years ago...)
Pottery Barn wall-mounted shelving units
Pottery Barn curio cabinet
Canopy bed frame--contemporary construction, but with a vintage-style scroll look
Various small pieces (night tables, phone tables, chairs)
Crib with storage drawers & mattress
Lamps
Frames
LOTS of housewares smalls, including:
Vintage glassware
Full set of dishes, never used
Framed artwork
Posters
Music memorabilia
Misc organizational items (shoe organizer, file boxes, sorting bins, etc.)
Office supplies
Electronics (several all-in-one stereos, computer peripherals, ++)
Some computer items brand new in box (keyboards, mouse)
Jewelry (wide variety)
Books (pretty much everything you can imagine...many nice hardcovers. Some signed)
LPs, CDs, DVDs, VHS, many CDs and DVDs brand new, still sealed, many box sets
Clothes (some very nice items, many never or very lightly worn, some still with tags)
Shoes (again some high-ticket brands gently or never worn)
Vintage and contemporary hats
Purses and bags--many leather, name brand, a wide variety
Costumes (high quality, primarily adult sizes)
Some doors, windows, etc. (we've been gathering items for a tiny house, but now have a bit more than we can use)
Tools
Hardware

I'll be updating this list on the Facebook event page during the week, as I sort through things: https://www.facebook.com/events/1894686200774407/permalink/1895004580742569/

We also have a few special &/or higher ticket items that probably won't be going out at the yard sale (though you never know...depends on my mood!), but we will take offers via email before they go up on eBay/Craigslist:

-Billy Martin (Yankees) autographed photo mounted on wooden plaque with brass sign. These are pretty uncommon and go for $200-300 on eBay. Will take $100 cash in hand.
-Bowflex--amazing condition, only used a few times, already broken down for transport. Paid over $2000 new. Make me a decent offer.
-Bing & Grondahl thimble necklace--Danish porcelain, pristine condition in original B&G jewelry box, Hans Christian Andersen's Little Mermaid design, going for 150-200 on eBay. Will take 100 cash in hand.
-Fabulous vintage 1950s wedding dress with detachable netting "shawl." Paid $325. Never worn (by me, anyway! Was presumably worn by someone in the 1950s!). Will take $150.
-Vintage suede fringed coat. Heavy and substantial. Unisex. Paid $125. Will take $50.
-Anthropologie Free People dress with handkerchief hem. Originally $200. Will take $50.

If you're interested in making an offer on these items, you can call Paul at 225-6329 or email Tara at tcmk@aya.yale.edu.

And we hope to see you on May 7 (after 10am ha ha ha)!
