The Pride Center of Vermont is a community center in Burlington that supports the LGBTQA+ Community. The center has a variety of programs, such as helping people who have experienced violence and HIV screening.
We will be having our 19th Annual Community Celebration on Friday, May 5th from 6-9 at the Echo Center in Burlington. There will be great food and an auction to help raise funds for the center. We will also honor those who have made exceptional contributions to our community.
Amazing auction items this year include being a character in Chris Bohjalian's next novel and a rare Bette Davis doll, with about 100 other things to bid on. We are so happy to have Eileen Blackood as our special guest auctioneer to help keep things lively and fun.
Attendees will feast on amazing food, to include several stations from Leunig's!
This year's Pride Award Honorees are a wonderful cross section of the community. Zazt & Renfrew, the Montpelier based consulting firm, has been instrumental in getting many issues for our community enacted in Vermont, and they will be receiving the activist award. Green Mountain Cabaret will be our business of the year for their amazing dedication to our community through their shows. The volunteers of the year are Rex and Karen Butt, who are long-time organizers of support groups for our Trans Program.
