Green Up Day, Saturday, May 6, 2017 **47th Anniversary**
Volunteers will once again walk the roadsides of Vermont to “GREEN UP” the landscape;
ridding the environment of littered debris and trash. We wear protective gloves, hats, long pants
and light or bright colored long-sleeved shirts (TICK SAFE) ; safety vests and durable footwear
or boots, insect repellent and sunscreen! http://www.greenupvermont.org
GREEN UP BAGS will be available at the Jericho Town Clerk's Office. Ask to see the
Jericho map and you can select a section of roadside to cover. There will also be a map
and bags, for Jericho Residents only, at the Jericho Center Country Store. Ann Faryniarz
annfaryniarz@juno.com will coordinate. There will be bags available at the Town Library in the
Center Circle. Additional contact people are Brooks Buxton (434-8699)/Jessica Alexander

Our own Jericho Town Garage (Browns Trace Road) will be a drop off location for trash
during the hours of 9am-1pm . Bags may also be brought to the CSWD-Richmond location
8am-3:30pm .
***Reminder: Do not remove dead animals or suspected toxic or hazardous waste. Needles and
questionable debris should not be disturbed. Please inform the proper authorities of safety

The Annual Jericho Green-Up Breakfast will once again be held at the Jericho Community
Center on the same Saturday, May 6th from 8:30am-10am, with complimentary coffee from
Vermont Coffee Company and locally made breakfast goodies.
A tally of the participating volunteers will be collected, go to www.greenupvermont.org to be
counted. Statistics will support future funding and promotion of the annual event. All
participating Boy Scouts, Girls Scouts, 4-H, Schools, Businesses, Civic Organizations and/or
Churches will be counted, so let us know who is out there!
