Electronic Waste Collection on Green Up Days

Past event
May 6, 2017, 8 AM to 4 PM

Transition Town Charlotte will once again coordinate electronic waste collection at the quonset hut at CCS in conjunction with Charlotte's Green Up Day, Saturday and Sunday, May 6 and 7 (8 am to noon on Sunday). In addition to the importance of cleaning up the waste we find on our road sides, the electronic collection eliminates thousands of pounds from ending up in our Vermont landfill. Even though it's not legal in Vermont to throw away what is recyclable, many people still are filling our landfill with electronics. Good Point Recycling, who collects the electronics, helps make sure that they are recycled.

We can collect all electronic devices such as: computers and their components, dvd's, vcr's, stereo's, phones, record players, radios, tv's, laptops, video machines, microwaves, small kitchen electronics, and their various chords and chargers. We cannot accept appliances such as: air conditioner's, stoves, refrigerators, washers, and dryers.

Please share this information with your neighbors. Let's keep Vermont clean and beautiful. Contact Ruah Swennerfelt at 802-922-2259 with questions.
