“You Are Cordially Invited” (our opening composition) to the 30 member UVM Brass Ensemble Concert. The concert will present a variety of brass and percussion music on Sunday, May 7th, 2017, at 5:00 pm in the University of Vermont Recital Hall, Southwick Music Building, 384 South Prospect St., Burlington, VT 05405; Free Admission. We are a student run brass ensemble made up of majors, non majors, alumni and community members getting together to share our love for brass music. Come join us for an afternoon of fun brass and percussion music. The group is directed by AJ Banach and Mei Endo, and conducted by Larry Solt. On the program,besides our opening number, You Are Cordially Invited, by Michael Markowski; the World Premier of Tones for Brass, by Christian Pickwell, music major at UVM; Under the Double Eagle, Josef Wagner; Lento, from Dance Movements, by Philip Sparke; Overture from Dancer in the Dark, by Björk Guômundsdóttir; Concert Fanfare (for 6 trumpets), by Eric Ewazen; Of Thy Mystical Supper, by Alexandre Gretchanioff; Invicta, by James Swearingen.
