Clear out your Medicine Cabinet of Vermont’s Most Dangerous Leftovers
More often than not, the misuse of drugs begins right at the family medicine cabinet – where prescription painkillers may sit long after they are needed.
These are Vermont’s most dangerous leftovers, and United Way of Addison County wants you to know that on Saturday, April 29 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. you can gather up and dispose of expired or unused drugs at collection areas near you.
As part of National Prescription Drug Take Back Day, our communities will host collection sites where people can safely – and anonymously – drop off unused medications. The sites will be staffed by local and state police and county sheriff departments.
People in Addison County can drop off their medications at any of these locations:
New Haven State Police Barracks 10 am - 2 pm
Middlebury Police Station All day
Visit dea.gov to find Take Back Day disposal locations across Vermont.
