Handbell Concert in South Hero

Northern Bronze, a community based ensemble bringing the art of handbells to exciting new levels, will present a program entitled "Bronze Rings Gold. Jazz and Musical Favorites from the 30s and 50s” at the South Hero Congregational Church, South Street in South Hero, at 7 p.m. on Friday, May 5. The program will feature the music of Cole Porter, George Gershwin, and others and favorites such as "Fly Me to the Moon", and "My Favorite Things" from the Sound of Music.
Tickets are available at the door:
$12 General Admission,$8 children under 12.
Local ringers include Bobbie Rambach of North Hero, Diantha Howard of Grand Isle, and Mary Jane Wirsing of South Hero.
The concert will also be given at 3 p.m. on Sunday, May 7, at Trinity Episcopal Church in Shelburne, Vermont, and at 2 pm, May 6, as a Joint Concert with High Peaks Ringers, at Lake Placid Center for the Arts, 17 Algonquin Dr., Lake Placid, NY.
