There will be a Vermont Public Service Board Hearing, Tuesday, May 2nd, at 7:00p, at Lowell Elementary School, Route 100, in Lowell, VT. The board has proposed new lower sound limits for industrial wind turbines and a new setback distance from turbines to residences equal to 10 times the turbine's height. 500 foot turbines would require a 5000 foot setback which is almost a mile. This would disqualify many wind projects in Vermont. The public is invited to attend the hearing to show support for the proposed rules. If you want to speak you can sign up at the door.
