Benefit Swing Dance & Big Band Concert
Saturday evening, April 29th at the Old Labor Hall, Barre

Come swing into spring and support local musicians of all ages! Green Mountain Swing, a 17-piece band will play a benefit to raise funds for the Green Mountain Youth Symphony, central Vermont’s local youth orchestra. Green Mountain Swing plays big band favorites in a variety of styles including swing, Latin, blues, and funk. Young musicians from the Green Mountain Youth Symphony will be joining Green Mountain Swing for a few numbers throughout the evening.

Live music starts at 7:30 pm.
Dance lessons are available from 6:45-7:30 pm thanks to Eric Recchia from Vermont Swings & Just for Kicks. So come out early and learn a few new steps or brush up on old favorites.

If dancing makes you hungry and thirsty, have no fear! Our GMYS families will offer baked goods and soft drinks for sale. All proceeds will benefit GMYS.

Just added: A marvelous basket of Vermont goodies will be raffled off thanks to a generous donation from Hunger Mountain Coop! We may have a second basket in the works, too. Join us to find out.
