Wallingford Green Up Day

Past event
May 6, 2017, 8:30 to 11 AM

The Wallingford Conservation Commission again will be supporting Green Up Day locally. We will be in front of the Rotary Building on Main Street as well as at the Transfer Station on Waldo Lane, setting up around 8:30 am and providing free litter collection bags and info on Green Up Day to visitors until around 11:00 am.

We will be handing out litter bags and tracking the locations where people are focusing their efforts. It is recommended that volunteers wear gloves, boots, and bright clothing for safety and comfort. If you will be in tall grass you should wear long pants and bug stray as well.

It is suggested that you collect trash in a separate bag from recyclable materials in order to reduce the waste going into area landfills. Returnable bottles & cans can be left at the Transfer Station for donation to area charities.

We look forward to seeing you Saturday May 6!!
