Repair Cafe comes to Burlington's South End on Earthday - Saturday, April 22nd - 10 am - 2 pm. Free Event A group of South End artists are bringing the first REPAIR CAFÉ to Burlington, Vermont this month.The REPAIR CAFÉ is a place for neighbors to come together for support and assistance with repairing their own beloved household goods, furniture, electronics, clothing, jewelry, bicycles, etc.It's also a free community cafe, complete with coffee, tea, and bakery treats - and a place for socializing and making connections, strengthening community resilience, and helping to protect our environment by keeping items out of the landfill, and limiting unnecessary resource consumption and pollution.

*The first Burlington REPAIR CAFÉ will take place* *on Earthday – this Saturday, April 22^nd from 10:00 – 2:00 pm *at the Hive Studios in the Howard Space Building behind Speeder and Earl’s. (at the corner of Pine Street and Howard Street - look for sandwich board signs)

Community volunteers skilled at carpentry, wood-working, metal work, electronics, bike-maintenance, jewelry repair, clothing repair, and more will be on hand to work with you and your broken item(s). This is not a "drop-off" situation, rather an opportunity for you to work together with a local repair volunteer. Any item that you can easily carry up the stairs and through the door is fair game. (no large appliances).
