We generally assume that our back pain problems arise because our muscles are not strong or our joints flexible enough to withstand the stress of certain activities. We miss out on how our lack of awareness contributes to our back pain. In this workshop we will use a rolled blanket to become more aware of the different curves in our spine and how important they are for our movement. The Awareness through Movement® lessons in this workshop will help you feel the distinctions in your spine, in order to get a clearer internal image that can lead to a pain-free back.
You do not need prior Feldenkrais® experience to enjoy this workshop. Please bring a blanket to this workshop that when rolled up is about 3 ft. long and 5 inches thick. Also bring a mat or blanket with you and wear warm, comfortable clothes.
