Scion Wood Swap and Potluck

Past event
Apr 24, 2017, 6 to 8 PM

Do you have some scion wood to share? Are you looking for some new cultivars to graft onto your trees or root stock? New to the idea of grafting and just want to learn more? All are welcome to come to the NEK VT Permaculture Group's next meet up in April to swap scion wood, chat about grafting and future events and goals for the group, and enjoy a potluck together.

Scion wood should be dormant twigs from last year's growth, of fruit trees that are named or that you think are exceptional for some reason. Apples, pears, plums, cherries are generally the easiest to graft. You could also bring cuttings from plants like currants or elderberry that root easily for propagation.
