The science is very clear: Human activity is changing our climate; our species evolved from ape-like ancestors; and the sun is at the center of our solar system. Unfortunately, a large percentage of the people of our country don't trust scientific inquiry and have continued to support decision makers who are ignoring the very scientists that they rely on for so much of their way of life. We need good data. We need to let scientific evidence inform our decisions as a country. We need to fund agencies that conduct good science. Our future very much depends on it! Advocates for science are marching in Washington and over 500 other locations around the world this Saturday. Come to Montpelier at noon for a rally and/or to Burlington at 4:30 for a march and help defend the vital role that science plays in our health, safety, economy and governments.
