Free Health Clinic Annual Benefit

Please consider supporting Vermont Free Health Care Clinics.
There are 10 medical clinics in Vermont that have served your underinsured neighbors for decades. Since 1997 over 52,000 Vermonters have been served by one of these 10 clinics. The annual fundraiser Bowl-A-Thon for one of these, People’s Health and Wellness Clinic in Barre, is May 6. I am looking for people who would like to donate funds to this cause, or who would like to join me in bowling.
With only 3 paid employees, this clinic manages 75 volunteer physicians, nurses, dentists, counselors and other health care providers who donate their time to offer free healthcare to those who have no insurance, or insurance with copays and deductibles that are too high to afford. Thus for a relatively small amount of money, this clinic leverages their resources into a great deal of free medical and dental care. Our patients are diverse. One third are employed, one third retired or disabled and one third unemployed. All have come to our doors as their last resort from a health care system that has left them behind.
On May 6th I will put on bowling shoes for the first time in 15 years, and after making sure that the gutter ball fenders are in place, I’ll fling a ball down a lane at Twin City Lanes on the Barre-Montpelier Rd. I’d love to have you join me either in person or in spirit. If you’d like more information about the clinic or the Bowl-A-Thon, please email me. If you’d like to support us, please mail a donation check for People’s Health and Wellness Clinic either to Terence Naumann, 127 Tilden Ave, Richmond, VT 05477, or directly to PHWC, 553 N Main St., Barre, VT 05641. I will post a followup note on FPF after the event.
Thank you,
Terence Naumann, MD
