This Friday (11/8) the White Meeting House in Waterbury village will host its fifth Community Music Night from 6 to 9 PM. A multi-generational event, it offers an open mic, light supper, and a laid-back atmosphere. Kids can play anytime, but the stage is especially saved for them from 6 to 7. Previous acts have included fiddle, mandolin, flute, trombone and vibraphone (although not all at once – not yet, anyways). We’ve also enjoyed dancing and singing from many. My favorites are the numbers thrown together on the stage once we see who is there and which instruments they've brought. The free event is open to any and all.
