The MRV Libraries invite you to join us at the Moretown School to explore important themes and ideas found in this year's Vermont Reads book, Brown Girl Dreaming, by Jacqueline Woodson. A poignant memoir written in verse, it shares one experience of growing up in both the South and North during the civil rights movement. Interested students are especially encouraged to come share their unique perspective, and are asked to arrive by 6:15pm for organizing. This event is free and open to the public with snacks provided, and copies of the book are available at all three libraries thanks to the Vermont Humanities Council.
