Brown Girl Dreaming Book Discussion

Past event
Apr 27, 2017, 6:30 PM

The MRV Libraries invite you to join us at the Moretown School to explore important themes and ideas found in this year's Vermont Reads book, Brown Girl Dreaming, by Jacqueline Woodson. A poignant memoir written in verse, it shares one experience of growing up in both the South and North during the civil rights movement. Interested students are especially encouraged to come share their unique perspective, and are asked to arrive by 6:15pm for organizing. This event is free and open to the public with snacks provided, and copies of the book are available at all three libraries thanks to the Vermont Humanities Council.

If you would like to carpool, please contact your respective library for more details:
Moretown Memorial: 496-9728
Joslin Memorial: 496-4205
Warren Public: 496-3913

We hope to see you there!
