Seeta Sistla and her students at Hampshire College have studied what’s happening with the plants and soil and critters under and near solar panels in Vermont agricultural fields. They’ll tell us who is winning the struggle for survival in the new environment, how solar panels can strengthen agriculture, and why Hampshire College and the state of Minnesota are mandating that solar farms be designed as pollinator habitat.

Linda McGinnis of the Energy Action Network in Montpelier will describe ideas and plans to create “solar sanctuaries” for pollinators in Vermont.
