Elm Tree Planting in the Park – Help Sought

Past event
Apr 22, 2017, 11 AM to 1 PM

The Parks Committee and your Tree Warden could use your help this coming Saturday, Earth Day. We will be planting 20 disease resistant elm trees in 4 locations at the Charlotte Park and Wildlife Refuge. We need help digging holes, planting stakes, placing tree guards, and mulching. In particular, we could use a truck to move mulch. It's an opportunity to learn about planting bare root trees. Volunteers will gather at the Thrope Barn off Route 7 at 11:00 Saturday 4/22. At 1:00 we’ll break for lunch provided by the Parks Committee. Please let me know if you’re able to join us. Mark Dillenbeck (802) 355-0407, mark@ocmqa.com
